C2C² (Classroom 2 Community Conference) Call for Proposals 2020

 

LCMC is looking for presentations for our 2nd Annual Classroom 2 Community (C2C²) event! We are asking you to prepare a workshop to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following aspects of the theme:

  • Teaching tips

  • Digital literacy challenges and/or ideas to implement digital literacy

  • How to get students participating and speaking with each other (Cooperative learning strategies)

  • Challenges for students to find work

To propose a teaching workshop, you must fill out this form. Please note: There will be two strands of workshops for attendees to follow depending on their interests or workspace. Please consider whether your presentation would fit in the Classroom strand or Community strand. Please also find the proposal evaluation rubric here.

About C2C²: LCMC’s Winter Teaching Institute

Where: Universities at Shady Grove

When: January 18, 2020 from 12pm-5pm.

Who: Adult education professionals or community partners working in similar spaces. (Attendance is mandatory for LCMC's ESL Classroom Program instructors.)

Cost: Suggested donation of $20 to support ESL’s programming for English language learning, pre-GED, and job/skill training programs. (Lunch is provided!)

Professional Development: All participants and presenters will receive a certificate of attendance equivalent to 8 hours of professional development.
