Ahu Moser- Director of Academic ProgrammingAhu Moser currently leads the Academic Programming at LCMC. In her role, she oversees LCMC’s MD LABOR and MCAEL- funded 60-hour classroom program, which offers 100 classes per fiscal year while employing 27 teachers. She also manages additional programs such as LCMC@Work and Small Online Group Learning. During her career, Ahu has held varying positions from ESL Teacher to Intake Assessment Specialist to Instructional Specialist. Ahu has over 25 years of teaching English as a Foreign/Second Language experience overseas and stateside.Learn more about Ahu here: https://www.lcmcmd.org/staff

Middle Eastern Liaison, Office of Community Partnerships (Montgomery County Community Engagement Cluster)

Arwa is program/project Management and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist with long experience in international development and human rights law, particularly in public health, gender, and economic and social rights. Arwa worked for/with the United Nations, USAID, GIZ, private and public sectors, and non-governmental organizations. She is one of the International Labor Organization's (ILO) certified Evaluation Managers.

Samira Hussein- Family Service Worker, MCPSSamira is Palestinian American. Arrived in the US in 1972 with her parents with no English, she was an ESOL adult student, living in Miami, she learned Spanish first as a second language. She has been living in MoCo since 1982 with her husband and 4 children* Works as a Family Service Worker with Pre-K/ Head Start Program for MCPS. Her volunteer work has no limit. She is a speaker, trainer, organizer, human rights and Racial Justice advocate.
