National Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15-10/15)

September 15th through October 15th marks National Hispanic Heritage Month. Every week, we’ll be featuring profiles of people with Hispanic heritage who have a connection to Montgomery County, three of whom are on our staff.

In celebration of #HispanicHeritageMonth2021, our LCMC community answered a few questions to help us all explore the pride and history of their heritage.

Here are the questions we asked:

  1. What country/countries are you/your family from?

  2. What is a tradition you celebrate in your family’s country of origin?

  3. When was the last time you visited your family’s country of origin?

  4. What is your favorite dish from your family’s country of origin?

  5. What is something you think the world should know about your family’s country of origin?

  6. Is there a prominent figure from your family’s country of origin you think people should know more about?

  7. What is something about your family’s country of origin you know everyone would love if they visited?
