"A New Normal, A Better Normal"

In the last few months, we’ve been hearing people saying that we are entering “The New Normal” as our country grapples with containing covid and returning to their lives.

At LCMC, we want to create a better normal for our students. Keeping our mantra of “Education | Empowerment | Equity” in mind, we’ve done the following:

• successfully moved 42 classes online

• created our first digital literacy classes for students and tutors

• created a comprehensive curriculum for our Tutoring Program and workplace programs

With the majority of the people we serve being disproportionately affected by covid, some of whom have lost their jobs, others who have contracted and recovered from the virus, those lacking childcare, and essential workers risking exposure in hopes of avoiding homelessness, we must act now and act fast!

Here's how you can help:

• $100 buys 5 students online books 

• $250 buys a student a device, so she can get online 

• $500 pays for one online ESL class for 8 learners

• $1000 pays for a basic digital literacy classes for 12 students

• $2000 pays for one 10-week class for entry level workers trying to get a living wage job
